The video depicts the EZDebride Wond Instrument being utilized on a superficial skin abscess secondary to a foreign body granuloma status post one week. The wound presents with surrounding tissue slough in the form of layed of hyperkeratotic tissue. The video delineates the effectiveness of the EZDebride as it removes this layer around the surface of the wound without injury to the underlying tissue. Next, the EZDebride is then used to sharply debride the central wound core of the devitalized tissue surface with minimal to no pain to the patient. The central tissue slough is sharply debrided with ease as well as the surrounding tissue border. Following debridement, the wound is very clean, sharply debrided, and hemostasis achieved via the EZDebride wound instrument.
